It's amazing, isn't it - how much these special creatures bring to our lives - the bond that a SAR dog and handler share - so much like a melding of the minds that leaves us empty with their loss - and yet we can still feel them guiding and coaching us through that bond as we make our way towards healing - amazing how they can offer so much to our hearts - they are such incredible gifts that we are chosen to share our lives with - I cannot imagine a life without them.   Author:Lara

This is our male imported from Hungary. Enzo(call name)  has  German,Czech and DDR lines. The Czech Pohranicni Straze Lines are known all over the world as leaders in K-9 operations to serve the border patrol with their unique and strong nerves, large bone structure, and willingness to work in obedience, tracking & defense. Loyal To Their Family! Bloodlines from the Kennel z Czech Pohranicni Straze were acquired from the former East Germany (DDR) and Czechoslovakia in 1955, to serve the Border Patrol. The dogs are unique with their strong nerve, large bone structure, dark pigmentation and willingness to work in obedience, tracking and defense. A companion - alarm system- and bodyguard, all in one package. These dogs will serve as your family pet and personal protection.

What makes Czechoslovakian dogs so prestigious especially a SVV3 is there are only 5 to 9 of these titles awarded each year. In our opinion Czechoslovakian German shepherds are very different from their counter parts. These German shepherds are extremely intelligent and very affectionate and have a much higher survival instinct. In some ways they think on their own and think ahead of their handler. In many ways Czechoslovakian German Shepherds are wolf-like but with a superior willingness to please. These dogs have pronounced courage and hardness. A dog who has their own character or as we often see their own personality. They have the will when called upon to defend their owners life, his own life and his territory, with bravery and courage.

Czechoslovakian German shepherds have a very solid temperament, large structure and excellent nerves. They also have outstanding balanced drives (equal prey and defense drives). In realistic protection training, the dog should have an equal prey and defense drive. The dog views the decoy as the enemy, not the carrier of the sleeve. The decoy wears protective clothing in order not to be harmed. The protective clothing is not target by the dog or for the purpose of the attack. If you are looking for a versatile that can also live as a calm and courageous member of your family, you want a dog with balanced drives. Czech dogs are the most loyal dogs. They are most unique out of all the German shepherds. These dogs are trained and bred for real life situations. They are very realistic in their protection work.

The SVV/ZVV dogs are bred to be used not only as outstanding companion dogs, but they are also bred to be police dogs, search and rescue dogs, protection dogs, war dogs and top sport dogs.

SAR dogs can find:Children lost in the wilderness, parks. People who have wandered away from homes, hospitals and nursing homes. Hikers and hunters lost in the woods. Victims of drowning accidents. Victims of earthquake, flood, explosions, fire, plane crashes, tornadoes and hurricanes. Evidence of crime and the bodies of homicide victims. Dog teams have a very special role in the world of search and rescue. The dog's ultra sensitive hearing, night vision, endurance, and keen sense of smell have continually proven to be invaluable in the effort to locate missing persons. Because of their extraordinary abilities, dogs are often able to reduce the search time, thereby increasing the chances that the person will be found alive. It is estimated that a single trained search dog team can be as effective as 20 to 30 trained human searchers in locating missing persons in a given time.
